Passion Through Progress Part 1

I want a passionate marriage, but how do I get there?

Have you ever asked yourself this question? If you have, then welcome to the club. The fact is my marriage hasn’t always been great. Before I knew Jesus, my wife and I were headed for divorce. We had discussions about what it would look like financially, what visitation might be like with our children, and who would stay in the house or go. When we met Christ we discovered that God had a plan for our marriage and it did not include divorce. Over the next few weeks I’d like to share with you three principles that have helped strengthen my marriage.

Never underestimate the power of prayer. Prayer is for the thriving marriage as well as the troubled marriage. It is your most powerful weapon against the enemy’s attacks. We know that our enemies are not of this world, but are in the spiritual realm. The last thing the enemy of your soul wants is for you to appeal to the Creator of all for healing in your relationship.
Challenge – Before your day starts, stop and pray together for 2 minutes. Pray for your spouse. Give to God what you don’t understand or can’t fix. Ask God to show you how to be a better spouse.
