SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGER

Lifepoint Church is seeking a creative self-starter to serve as a Social Media Manager responsible for the development of our online community. This position will maintain a presence on various social media platforms, publish content that is relevant to our audience, and will interact on social media on behalf of various church accounts.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Familiarity with the facilitation of mainstream social media platforms, including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter
  • Well-developed writer/editor with excellent communication skills
  • Experience with Microsoft applications and web browsers
  • Marketing experience is a plus

WORK LOCATION
  • Fredericksburg, VA
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Updates social media accounts with updates, news, and announcements – as well as current/relevant photos or videos – in a timely manner using appropriate content
  • Responds to posts or comments to bring value to user’s interactions with the church
  • Researches articles, stories, resources, or other content that is relevant to our audience and posts it to social media in a manner that invites conversation and interaction
  • Grows our online social networks by increasing followers and interactions
  • Regularly observes the online activity of model organizations, researches, and reports on ‘social media best practices’
  • Uses Insights provided by social media platforms to assess trends and activity on our accounts
  • Reviews data on the performance of social media platforms and adjusts plans or strategies to optimize growth
  • Must be able to establish and meet quarterly/annual goals and objectives
